Holly Davey @ Plymouth Arts Centre

Artist Holly Davey commemorates 75 years since the Plymouth Blitz with a commission inspired by her family history and Lee Miller’s photograph of a bombed out chapel. Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery was one of the few buildings to survive the bombing and is about to embark on a major redevelopment. Working with ideas around objects, collection and memory, fragile items from one of the large glass cabinets on the balcony will be replaced with rubble.
‘Here is Where we Came From’ is a Plymouth Arts Centre commission in partnership with Plymouth City Council (Arts and Heritage) for the History Centre.
