Angela Glajcar, sculpts in paper. By the processes of tearing, layering and puncturing, she transforms an ostensibly mundane and undifferentiated sheet material into complex structures that enclose, define and reveal hermetic and allusive three-dimensional spaces. The artist describes her method as ‘terforation’, a handmade physical interaction with her material which eschews anything but the most basic tools.
