Paris Day Trip

Thursday, 3 November 2022

Out of stock

Join us in Paris!  Our tentative schedule…

3 November – Museum Visit Day

11:00 am – Curator Tour of Alice Neel, Un regard engagé, Centre Pompidou

American artist Alice Neel (1900-1984) was a free and independent woman…an icon of militant feminism and a precursor of an intersectional approach.  The exhibition is divided into two parts structured freely around the notions of class and gender struggle and highlights the great acuity with which Alice Neel portrayed the different strata of American society. (The Centre Pompidou)

Lunch – Arranged by UK Friends (included)

3:00 pm – Curator Tour of Rosa Bonheur (1822-1899), Musée d’Orsay

This major retrospective of French artist Rosa Bonheur on the bicentenary of her birth features 200 of her paintings and other works, with a special focus on her depictions of animals.

If you can come the day before, look at our other “event” Paris Day Trip Supplement to join us on a studio visit and private collection visit.

Cost for Patrons/Friends: £100, guests: £150.  All proceeds support the UK participation in Women to Watch: Other Worlds, 2024.
