Sally McLaren @ Bankside Gallery

This exhibition will reveal the flourish of Sally McLaren’s most recent output in the context of her life’s work In Search of Stillness. In recent years her work has acquired a more spiritual aspect, a celebration of life through landscape. There is a purity and lightness in her most recent paintings and her new large-scale prints.
The show will be accompanied by the launch of a special limited edition book made up of two parts presented in a slipcase. Section One is a hard back in full colour illustrating McLaren’s life works and includes an essay by Mel Gooding describing the work and the powerful influences which have inspired her throughout her 80 years. Section Two is a biographical dialogue with the artist in conversation with Silvie Turner.
