Rachel Arif @ Snape Maltings Gallery

This exhibition, Interval, showcases a collection of oil paintings depicting the Suffolk Coast, by Rachel Arif.  Her semi-abstract works are almost Turner-esque in style – reflecting the dramatic and changeable landscape of heaths, marshes and the North Sea, while perfectly capturing the unique Suffolk light.
For this exhibition, Rachel created paintings on a larger scale than previously shown in The Maltings Gallery. With such atmospheric intensity in her oil painting and a muse that is so rooted in this location, the bigger canvases create a spectacular visual display within the space.
