N London Gallery Tour: Katy Moran and Sarah Sze

Join us for a gallery led tour of the current solo exhibitions by two prominent artists, Sarah Sze at Victoria Miro and Katy Moran at Parasol Unit.

British artist, Katy Moran’s gestural and highly evocative paintings may appear to be abstract, but the artist herself is invariably concerned with the figurative. For her, ideas arise out of the process of painting. She works with the paint, consciously and subconsciously preserving and rejecting marks until she sees they are alive with the energy and power that she considers right. The exhibition presents a survey of Moran’s work from the past ten years of her practice.

We then move next door to the Victoria Miro Gallery to visit Sarah Sze’s exhibition which in totality spans three spaces at Victoria Miro and it is her first representation in Europe since representing the United States in the Venice Bienniale in 2013. In the Wharf Road gallery, the exhibition comprises three installations that the artist has conceived as a series of different experiments which explore the construction and measurement of space, time, and volume through the use of materials.
