These miniature paintings by Laila Tara H results from the period of lockdown, which gave her the freedom to paint with rigour. Months of heavy silence gave her the space with no distractions and no sense of future to produce paintings that were reflective of herself and entirely independent of her surroundings.

 For this exhibition, duck duck goose, many of the titles are taken from, or inspired by, the poems, games, and verses she learned as a child. The paintings for this show, all in the new green of late spring, talk about a shift in her maturity, and are mostly about relationships and how childhood games and verses show themselves in real adult life. The altered verses are sort of an amalgam of childhood lessons and adult experiences.
