Ida Kvetny’s paintings reveal a universe of her own making – one populated by arcane, dreamlike figures that confront the viewer with inscrutable meaning. Drawing inspiration from a widely diverse range of things from video games to Persian carpets, her paintings ‘Surreal Universe’ are so full of swirling colours and shapes that at first glance the eye struggles to resolve them into anything beyond abstraction.
