This is a rare opportunity to visit Three Women Artists in their studios to see their work in progress and hear their unique perspectives. We are delighted that the artists Anthea Hamilton, Tai Shani and Tania Pérez Córdova will open their studios for this special event.  Alessio Antoniolli, Director of Gasworks will give us an introduction to the programme and present the artists:
Anthea Hamilton works with a diverse array of found objects with fragmented elements of figurative sculpture created by means of her characteristic ‘cut-out’ technique.

Fantastic and cinematic are the only ways to describe Tai Shani’s performances and films that are abstracted adaptations of films, plays and books or fictional historical dramatisations.
Tania Pérez Córdova, a visiting artist from Mexico, claims her work happens between questioning how to make come thing and how to make sense of something.
