Book Talk and Signing — Madam and Eve: Women Portraying Women with Liz Rideal and Kathleen Soriano

April 17, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a fabulous evening and a glass of bubbly at the glamorous 45 Park Lane with authors Liz Rideal and Kathleen Soriano as they discuss their "hot off the press" book, Madam & Eve: Women Portraying Women.  Their timely book explores the specifically female development of artistic practice since the 1970s, and the impact that various feminist movements have had on the development of contemporary art.

Liz is a Reader at the Slade School of Art and a lecturer at the National Portrait Gallery. Her artwork is widely exhibited in both Europe and United States. She is also the author of  Mirror Mirror: Self-Portraits by Women Artists.  Kathleen currently runs her own consultancy, and was formerly Head of Exhibitions and Collections at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and a Director of Exhibitions at the Royal Academy.

Venue: 45 Park Lane Hotel Nearest Tube: Hyde Park Corner

RSVPs required no later than close of business, 12 April. Contribution: £10 per person.  RSVP to RSVP@UKFriendsofNMWA.org
